The sections of my E-Portfolio help showcase my various talents and abilities in diverse fields. The artifacts in my E-portfolio help demonstrate my achievements in academics, events and activities. Not just these, there’s even more. My passion for photography and the keenness to look at life through the lens of my camera is captured in the ‘Gallery’ section. The ‘Videos’ section displays my creativity and presentation skills.
To cap it all, the honour of being appointed as a Prefect for the academic year 2020-21 finds pride of place in the ‘Investiture’ section.

Opportunities abound and many a target is to be achieved. What better way to preserve them for posterity than through my E-Portfolio!
What are the benefits of E-Learning?
The concept of e-learning offers various benefits which include one-on-one learning and increased student engagement. This can be take place because the student is not being easily distracted by the normal classroom distractions like diversion of focus from the teacher to other students. This increase in concentration leads to an increase in retention as well. Being able to retain information from the lesson taught in class considerably boosts recall during revisions. E-learning also offers a more personalised platform for students to learn and excel. The platform is also scalable, which in itself, is a great advantage for seminars and conferences.
What has JSS done?
The classroom based bridge class for the grades 10 and 12 commenced on the 1st of March and was expected to continue in the same manner till the 26th. However, due to the current unforeseen situation that has gripped the world, the classes had to be interrupted and stopped in a week’s time. Our school, JSSPS, was able to quickly react, arrange and implement a very effective and constructive method to meet the requirements of completing the portions, while at the same time abiding by the guidelines and instructions stipulated by the authorities.
We started to use the application known as “Microsoft Teams”. Microsoft Teams is said to be a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and application integration. The platform employs the concept of teams and channels. Using this, the JSSPS IT Department, setup class specific teams and subject specific channels.
The teacher is able to schedule meetings according to the set timetable. The student is then required to log in at the fixed time and join the class. Teams also offers various tools such as a whiteboard, the option to upload a presentation or to share your screen. Such options prove to be very useful and profitable to both the teacher and the student.
Despite challenging changes brought about by the epidemic, JSSPS was able to come up with a very effective and simple to use system in a very short span of time.
The concept of E-learning has indeed proved to be very good and effective in countering the negative effects of the current situation. The portions can now be completed without any threat or exposure to Covid-19.

School. Every child of today has a different approach towards school; some enjoy it while some despise it. Some students enjoy attending school to simply enjoy themselves. Others to truly gain knowledge. Everyone has favourite subject. It may science or math. Still others question the purpose of other subjects. I too used to think that learning history was a waste of time and energy, but in due time I also realised the significance of learning about our ancestors, our history and our traditions.
Education is something that every child requires. It is the foundation that establishes a child’s future. Every professional in today’s world has gone long years of studying. Even after you accomplish everything you aimed for, you never stop learning. Everyone has something new to learn every day. Education does play a very vital role in every student’s life.
Having a good education opens the door many opportunities and changes. In addition to all of this, to me, education enables me to learn and understand how I can help others and make the world a better place to live in.
Career Goals :
The time has come…the decisive year for every student. Career goals… I have a growing interest in science. Ever since, I was a young child, I had always desired to grow up and become a Pediatric Cardiologist. I had decided I would pursue my dreams of becoming a heart surgeon from a very young age and at this point my decision remains the same but, I don’t know what the future holds for me. The human body has never failed to amaze me, I often find myself intrigued by the different videos related to medical science that I come across. This has always been an area of interest for me and I hope it remains the same.
Personal Goals:
Nobody’s perfect. In my opinion, I have indeed a lot to learn in order to shape my personality and attitude. My desire is to become more open to ideas and have a mind-set to listen to others and consider their opinions and suggestions – to be a good listener first, before anything else. I want to build up my team spirit. Over the years, I myself have witnessed a massive transformation in attitude and outlook towards various things. I hope to build up on the values that my parents and grandparents have inculcated in me. I will endeavour and spare no efforts to become a better person.
